Over 40 years of nurturing young minds in the heart of Bushnell, Florida.
Formally known as Bullfrogs & Butterflies, our preschool was established in 1984 and has been a cherished institution in the small town of Bushnell for over four decades. The school successfully operated and became a trusted cornerstone of the community long before we arrived.
Bushnell local Kathleen Neuman purchased the preschool and adopted the name Aunt K's Bullfrogs & Butterflies, bringing with her over 10 years of experience in child care and early learning development. Kathleen's mission is to continue the legacy of her predecessor — providing the community with a high-quality childcare center that families can trust.
The preschool opens its doors in Bushnell, beginning a four-decade legacy of quality early childhood education in Sumter County.
Thousands of Sumter County families trust the school with their children's most formative early years, cementing its place in Bushnell's heart.
Kathleen Neuman — with 10+ years of childcare and early learning experience — purchases the school and renames it Aunt K's, renewing its commitment to excellence.
Now 4+ years into serving Bushnell families under Aunt K's, we continue to grow our programs and deepen our commitment to every child in our care.
Mrs. K
We know that it's not only important for children to develop basic skills, but that they receive care from teachers who have genuine love for children. I strive to provide a safe, diverse, and enriching experience for each child and seek out the most qualified staff to care for your little ones.
A proud Bushnell local, Kathleen brings over 10 years of hands-on experience in child care and early learning development — along with deep community roots and a heartfelt passion for nurturing young minds. Now 4+ years into running Aunt K's, her vision remains the same: a school where every child is known by name, cared for with intention, and sent into kindergarten confident and curious.
Everything we do is guided by a deep belief in the importance of early childhood and the potential of every child.
We hire staff who have a true love for children — not just qualifications, but warmth and dedication.
The early years shape a child's entire future. We take that responsibility seriously with every activity and interaction.
Parents can drop off with complete confidence. Our campus is secure, our staff are vetted, and your child is protected.
From painting to gardening to music, we believe in learning through doing, creating, and exploring.
We celebrate every child's unique background and create an environment where all children feel welcome and valued.
Our structured programs ensure every child leaves us with the skills, confidence, and curiosity to succeed in school.
At Aunt K's, we understand that the early years are when children develop the critical social, emotional, and cognitive skills that shape their success in school and beyond.
That's why we combine structured learning with play, creativity, and social development. Whether we're building a garden, exploring instruments, painting, or learning the ABCs — your child is well cared for in a safe environment while enhancing their whole development.
We understand the importance of a well-balanced diet to fuel the learning minds of growing children.
Every day starts with a plentiful, balanced breakfast before activities begin — setting a strong foundation for a productive learning day.
Healthy snacks throughout the day keep energy levels steady and children focused, engaged, and ready for afternoon activities.
A wholesome lunch is served daily, providing children with the nutrition they need to stay energized and continue learning.
